The Star Academic High School Lion logo is a protected brand mark and a key element of our school’s visual identity. Maintaining the integrity of this logo is essential to preserving the tradition, pride, professionalism, and recognition associated with Star Academic High School and the Sunnyside Unified School District.
Unauthorized, altered, or distorted versions of the Lion logo, including the mascot, must not be used under any circumstances. These include, but are not limited to:
Modifying the logo’s proportions, colors, or typography
Adding outlines, effects, gradients or colors
Replacing or redrawing the Lion illustration
Combining the logo with other graphics, mascots, or text treatments
Using clip-art, internet-sourced, or AI-generated “Lions”
Recreating the logo from scratch or tracing it from low-resolution images
All versions of the logo must come directly from the official Star Academic High School Brand Guide provided by the SUSD Communications Department. Any logo or graphic not included in that kit is considered non-compliant and strictly prohibited.
To request approved files or confirm proper usage, contact the SUSD Communications Department before publishing or producing any materials featuring the Star Academic High School Lion brand.

Our Fonts
SUSD’s official fonts should be used consistently throughout all communication materials and should not be substituted. Proxima Nova is used for headlines and titles. The feel is clean and when used
in upper case, its effect is unmistakably Sunnyside. Our secondary font is Merriweather, and may be used in body copy.
Proxima Nova – used for Headers and Sub-headers
Merriweather – used for body copy
Our Colors
In addition to our logo, color is the second most recognizable aspect of our identity. Utilizing these colors appropriately and consistently creates an additional layer of recognition and coherence.
